HISTORY
In 1957 John Rocchio Sr. left his native birthplace of Capriati, Italy and traveled to America. He settled in Rhode Island with a distant cousin whom he never met. He soon found work in a local factory, through a fellow worker he became aware of a small masonry company seeking Saturday help. Ambitious and with a desire to learn he began working Saturdays for no pay to gain experience. He caught on quickly and, within a short period of time, became a skilled stone mason. Always eager to do better he thought often of owning his own business. In 1960 he left his full time factory job and started a company specializing in all types of stone masonry work. He worked hard, treated people fairly, and focused on customer satisfaction. His business thrived.
THIRD GENERATION LEADERSHIP
Today, two generations later, John Rocchio Corporation has grown into a multifaceted civil contracting firm. We undertake diverse and complex projects throughout southern New England and continue to apply the fundamental principles established by our founder. With our long history of solid performance, daily application of sound business practices and the ability to adapt to different and changing market conditions we have built a platform of success for many years to come.
